Connection

As a fun little fact, aside from being a speech pathologist, I’ve also completed my 350hr Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training (Zen Space Samford with Wendy Reid, 2022), and Pre- and Post-Natal Yoga Specialisation (Bhakti Rose, 2023) and am now offering a space for caregivers to join me for Yoga for Caregivers on the third Saturday of the month.

Bookings are essential, and limited to 10 people per session.

Connection and responsivity are the core of much of the potential possible through parenting, and I take my role as the hands holding your hands, as you hold your child on their journey very seriously.

Delivering, and inspiring warmth, wisdom and wonder are key pillars of my work with young children and their families, with each informing the other and always culminating in carefully considered and tailored guidance specifically for you and your child - meeting you both where you are right now.

I pride myself on the care I give, and the relationships I make - not only with the families I have the privilege to work with, but the broader teams I work within to coach and guide young families just like yours.

Towards Connection

  • The Circle of Security - Parenting (or COS-P) framework and training guides families to consider the role of attachment as the context for all communication not only between children and caregivers, but between each and every one of us in relationship. Understanding “The Circle” and the role of our hands as both providing a “Secure Base” and a “Safe Haven” provides concrete tools for reflecting on where a child’s needs are, and how we’re best able to help in any given moment.

  • Responsive Feeding Therapy inspires my approach to feeding and swallowing intervention, as an umbrella concept that prioritises the values of autonomy, relationship, competence, intrinsic motivation, and holism. To find out more about this approach, see this Responsive Feeding Therapy White Paper

  • The Hanen Centre’s training programs, and their resources, guide the core tenets of of Baby to Three’s passion and focus - all positive change for children happens through the support provided to you as their caregiver. Both It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words can be delivered in 1:1 and group formats, and both face-to-face and virtually reducing barriers to accessing the skills you can learn to best help your child.
